The Spring Academy’s main focus is Stage 1 Development which always includes the soccer ball with an emphasis on Ball Mastery and Individual skills development. The main priority will be when “WE” have possession of the soccer ball and creativity in the attack. The main objective within the curriculum is to develop a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for the players where it’s okay to make mistakes and they will be encouraged to learn in the game environment. Additionally this program will service as competitive tryout preparation.

Technique: Players will learn individual dribbling, skills, ball mastery moves, how to dribble the ball. 1v1 & 2v2 attacking, and how to pass while combining with teammates.

Insight: Players will be taught how to be effective problem solvers by combining technical and tactical methodologies such as US Soccer Play-Practice-Play. Coever skills, and Perception-Action Coupling.

Physical: Players will learn age appropriate psychomotor skills to accelerate their balance, coordination, and athleticism with and without the ball.

Personality: There will be an emphasis on having fun and to have a love of the game. We will teach players how to express themselves through the sport of soccer while encouraging them to take responsibility for their own development and how to be affective leaders.
