Compete Regionally in a Higher Level of Youth Soccer


The Vacaville United Competitive Program is the top level of competitive youth soccer in our club. Our teams compete in NorCal Premier League during the fall and spring season and multiple state and regional tournaments such as; San Diego Surf Cup, CUFA Tahoe, Las Vegas Cup and others. Our program goal is to help our players develop the technical skill and tactical understanding to achieve their highest playing potential while building incredible experiences and lifelong memories through the beautiful game.

Training Cirriculum

  • Two 45 min -1.5 hour team practice session per week [depending on age]
  • Curriculum specially designed to be consistent with the Vacaville United technical training guidelines

Season Length

  • 12 Month commitment (please see calendar for club breaks)
  • Tryouts begin in May (see try-out link below)
  • Trainings begin: June
  • Games begin: Tournaments can start as early as June. The league begins in August.

Club dues generally cover coaching expenses, club member training, keeper training, field maintenance costs, and insurance, NorCal state registration, field lights and more.


*A $200 volunteer fee is required for every family. If you fulfill your 6 hours by December 1st you will not be charged the $200 volunteer fee in January.   • Does VUSC send players to PDP and ODP?

    VUSC sends members to both the Olympic Development program and the Player Development Program every year. 


    The Olympic Development Program (ODP) & the Player Development Program are designed to Identify players for the United States National team while competing in high level domestic and international travel. 

  • What is the Internal Referee Education Pathway?

    Referees are one of the most talked about soccer groups at this time! Post-COVID we have seen a decline in interested person wanting to become referees. VUSC is a catalyst in creating a positive soccer culture and building up our referees! We now offer our members a pathway to becoming a referee. In partnership with the USSF, we offer internal and Federation courses to support the development of our members as referees. We have a dedicated and professional referee assignor who manages and supports are referees.

  • How many tournaments do teams play in?

    Included in all competitive player’s tuition to play, VUSC will sponsor each team to compete in two tournaments per year (Fall / Spring). All tournaments require DOC approval to ensure they fall within the travel & tournament policies set forth by the club. VUSC encourages our teams to take their game to the next level and create tournament memories that will last a lifetime. 

  • Where are practices held?

    Horsecreek Soccer Complex is the shinning star of Solano Counties soccer complexes. HC is an all-in-one soccer paradise which is professional maintained by a fulltime maintenance manager. 


    All competitive players will have access to this legendary and historic complex for all training sessions, practices, games, and more! 


    Horsecreek Soccer Complex is one of the only soccer specific facilities in the county and is largely recognized as the best facility in the Northern California!

  • Is there a clubhouse?

    Yes,  Horsecreek Soccer Complex has an onsite clubhouse. Teams have access to premium fields, 5 total grass and all natural lighted fields, plenty of parking, and designated office and working space.


    Coaches can design tailored video review sessions for their teams. They utilize VUSC onsite media center within the clubhouse which can accommodate 1-2 teams at a time. 

  • Is there specific training for goalplayers (goalkeepers)?

    Why Goalplayer? The game of soccer has evolved a lot! The demand for Goalplayers to use their feet and enter the attack with their teams has steadily increased as the game has changed. The Goalplayer is much more than a shot stopper, then are a fully integrated 11th player. Thus, has their role and name. 


    VUSC has partnered with Maverick Goalkeeper Academy to bring the highest-level training our members. MGA is the largest Goalkeeper / Goalplayer academy in California. With Professional and collegiate coaches / players, MGA brings a more professional and dynamic approach to our Goalplayer’s education!


  • How does VUSC support player recruitment?

    Productive Recruit is the fast growing all in one recruiting resource for prospective student athletes. It a database of thousands of college coaches, interested VUSC soccer players can create an online profile, research and decide, and contact college coaches directly. 


    Included in the VUSC College Pathway Program, our athletes will have access to specialized college advice from VUSC directorship who have spent over 15 years in the college game as college coaches at the NCAA I, II, and NAIA levels as well as both on the men’s and women’s sides of the game. 


    This program is open to all U14-U19 players. 

  • What seasons does VUSC compete in?

    VUSC competitive teams compete in both NorCal’s Fall and Spring Seasons. Enrollment in VUSC’s soccer programming is a year long commitment which begins in May upon registration post tryouts and concludes the following year in May after the team’s last spring season game and / or when tryouts begin again. 


    VUSC competes in all levels of NorCal ranging from the National Premier League, State Premier, Premier, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper. If you love soccer as much as we do and want to play fall and spring season, we have a team for you!

  • Are VUSC coaches licensed?

    Vacaville United Soccer Club is a host to the USSF B License, Grassroots 7v7 & 9v9 courses.


    All competitive coaches hold USSF sanctioned license as well as other licenses and certifications from around the world! Including licenses issued by UEFA, FA, Walsh Federation, La Liga, Fiorentina, Barcelona, and more!



  • Does VUSC record games for review?

    Vacaville United Soccer Club is leading the future! With advances in technology, we want to be on the forefront! VUSC has several VEO cameras assessable for team use. Coaches have access to VEO cameras for team training sessions and weekend games. VUSC coaches will often schedule meeting times with their teams while utilizing our onsite clubhouse to break down and discuss team tactics. Players and parents will also have access to the video via emailed links. Missed the game? Not a problem, contact your coach to get a link to the full game!

    Note: due to the length of the season not all games will be recorded. Speak to your coach about which games will be accessible. 

  • Does VUSC provide speed and agility training?

    The FASST (Fitness, Agility, Speed, & Strength) program will be a periodized training platform that works in cooperation with each competitive team’s regularly scheduled team trainings to support each player’s athletic growth while ensuring they do not over train. VUSC will do this by using a combination of John Cone and Raymond Verheijen’s periodization models

  • What education opportunities are available to players and coaches?

    Vacaville United Soccer Club values education! We are much more than soccer coaches; we are soccer educators. VUSC will bring in Frans Hoek four times in 2025 – 2026 to work directly with our competitive players and coaches. 


    Hoek is known as one of the top soccer educator in the world! Having worked with Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Ajax, Netherlands National team, Poland’s National Team, and more! NorCal often brings Hoek in throughout the year to conduct education for hundreds of coaches at one time. VUSC has exclusive access, and Hoek works directly us just our club upon his visits to Vacaville.

  • Are there player experiences throughout the year?

    Vacaville United Soccer Club is all about providing experiences for our members. Whether it’s a positive day to day experience or a European adventure that will be remembered for a lifetime! 


    In partnership with Inspiresports, European travel experiences will be available to our membership upon team interest and request. If teams are interested in having a unique and once in a lifetime experience, VUSC has the connections to explore these options with our members!


     Members will have exclusive access to team tickets and even free games with the 

    San Jose Earthquakes, Sacramento Republic, and The Town FC!



  • What do trainings look like?

    Vacaville United Soccer Club has a 10-month curriculum that is periodized over the course of the two (Fall & Spring) playing seasons. Coaches have flexibility to build and adapt their sessions in accordance with the curriculum and the specific needs of their players. All teams will train a minimum of two days per week during the playing seasons. In addition, every VUSC competitive member will have a Techne account where motivated and dedicated players can train daily!

    90+ harnesses the top technology in the world and brings it directly to Vacaville! Using force plates, reaction lighting, and data tracking, 90+ measures and helps player scale their develop through blazing fast technology and app tracking! This program is included in all U9-U12 programming
