The U8 age group’s main focus is Stage 1 development which always includes the soccer ball with an emphasis on Ball Mastery and individual skills development.
The main priority will be when “WE” have possession of the soccer ball and creativity in the attack.
Defending when “THEY” have the ball will have little priority until the players reach U9 & U10. The main objective within the curriculum is to develop a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for the players where it’s okay to make mistakes and they’ll be encouraged to learn in the game environment.
