Coach Jon Pope enters his 6th year with Vacaville United Soccer Club. Coach Jon Pope is a homegrown grassroots player to coach. He started out playing recreational soccer and worked his way up to the full competitive team. He would go on to play Varsity High School Soccer and continuing until reaching his goal of playing in college for Tennessee Temple University on an athletic scholarship.

Coach Pope has coached VUSC team through the ranks, taking teams from bronze on up until ultimately winning a State Cup Championship with his 2010 boys team. Coach Pope’s dedication to the game extends into his vast experience and education. He holds United States Soccer Federation C License, USSF D License, USSF Grassroots 11v11, 9v9, & 4v4 Licenses. In addition he has earned his USSF Safe and Healthy Playing environment certificate, attended BSE Soccer Coaches Clinics, is a certified California POST Physical Training Instructor, and owns his Coaching Master Class diploma with Art Langeler of the Royal Dutch Football Association.
