Coach Paul Smith returns to VUSC as Head Coach for the 2015 & 2013 boys. Coach Smith led two successful campaigns in the 2022 / 2023 seasons where both his teams averaged 2.5 goals per game. Coach Smith is owner of his NSCAA Level 6 through Level 1 Licenses, NSCAA Head Safety Certifications, NFHS Cert, US Youth Soccer cert and his United States Soccer Federation National D License.

Coach Smith is a student of the game who is always learning and applying his vast knowledge and experiences back into his VUSC players. He’s taken courses with top level coaches from Fiorentina and has studied with world famous coaches such as; Albert Puig, Frans Hoek, Renato Paiva, Ricardo Nuna, Jefta Bressa, Brad Friedel, and Chris Ramsey. Through his studies in top coaching he brings methodologies from Barcelona, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Benfica, and more into his tutelage at VUSC.
