Coach David Zavala enters his 9 th year of coaching with Vacaville United Soccer Club. Coach Zavala began coaching with VUSC in 2008 where would be lead the U12, U14, and U16 age groups over the next four years. In 2010 Coach Zavala served as head coach for both Vacaville Christian Middle School and Buckingham Charter Magnet High Schools Men’s teams. He’s coached at all levels within the NorCal structure while at VUSC and Northbay Elite Futbol Club. In 2018, he took coaching to the next level when he joined the CalNorth Olympic Development Program and worked directly with the 2003 boys age group. ODP is the only national identification program and ran in every state. Coach Zavala returned to VUSC in 2020 where over the next three years he would take his silver and bronze teams both to State Premier while winning State Cup with his 2007 Girls team at the Premier Level.


As a Vacaville native, Coach Zavala attended and played for Will C. Wood High School’s Varsity team. In 1992 they won the M.E.L. League Championship. In addition to his high school accolades Coach Zavala is also a former VUSC stand out player.


Coach Zavala owns his CYSA conducted United States Soccer Federation E & F, E/D License, USSF’s D License, National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s National Diploma, The Frans Hoek concept course, NorCals ran Fiorentina Methodology courses, and the Albert Puig Barcelona Methodology course.
