About the Program
The U8 program will be open to 50-60 players. The entire group will train 2 times per week on the same day, time, and location in a true academy format.
Travel will be extremely minimized to the best of our ability but some light travel from time to time will be required.
U8 Curriculum
Offensive oriented Actions with the soccer ball.
The U8 age group’s main focus is Stage 1 development which always includes the soccer ball with an emphasis on Ball Mastery and individual skills development.
The main priority will be when “WE” have possession of the soccer ball and creativity in the attack.
Defending when “THEY” have the ball will have little priority until the players reach U9 & U10. The main objective within the curriculum is to develop a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for the players where it’s okay to make mistakes and they’ll be encouraged to learn in the game environment.
VUSC Concept
The U8 program will be open to 50-60 players. The entire group will train 2 times per week on the same day, time, and location in a true academy format.
Trainings and games at Horsecreek Soccer Complex.
Team Formation:
VUSC will host play days in the spring to gauge interest in the U8 Academy.
Formal tryouts will be held in May according to NorCal’s guidelines. Teams will play both Fall & Spring season.

The VUSC U8 program provides the highest quality development in the Solano County area for players who desire to build a strong foundation for playing competitive soccer. The U8 program is designed to create an exciting environment that will motivate and develop players technically and foster their passion for the game.
