Vacaville United Soccer Club is proud to announce the hiring of Jason Sisneros as Rec Soccer Director and Assistant Director of Coaching! Coach Sisneros has over 25 years of soccer coaching experience. He’s coached everything from middle school soccer to professional soccer in the United States. Coach Sisneros most recently worked for world famous Head Coach, Anson Dorrance at the University of North Carolina. While at UNC Coach Sisneros mentored the Tar Heels on their pathway to a College Cup appearance, NCAA Quarterfinals, won the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and won an NCAA National Championship!

“I first met Jason about 10 years ago while coaching Division I college soccer. When I saw him coaching I knew right away he was a complete professional. I spent the next year finding a way to visit UNC to work with him and Anson. This is a huge opportunity to now have Jason working in Vacaville. He has always been dedicated towards giving back to his local communities and is a shining example of all the core values we harbor at VUSC. I’m very excited to see the development of our players as they grow.” Kris Hall, VUSC Executive Director

Coach Sisneros has experience at the National team level directing match analysis and coaching. In 2014 he founded Brigade FC which competed in the top level of amateur soccer in the United States. They would go on to compete in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, become USASA South Regional Champions, and the USASA National Championships. Coach Sisneros has a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, numerous National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Diplomas including their Premier A License, WFA Certification, and NFHS high school coaching certificates. In addition to coaching national champions at the high school and college level Coach Sisneros owns and operates Rising Star Academy which mentors young soccer players to achieve their goals at the college and professional levels.

A native of Tacoma, Wash., Sisneros has been coaching soccer on multiple levels for the past two decades.  His coaching expertise comes on the youth level primarily, including eight years for high school teams.  He coached teams to WIAA Washington state high school championships as well as youth state and regional titles.  He won his first state title as a coach with Charles Wright Academy at age 21 under the direction of his coaching mentor and Canadian Soccer Hall of Famer Tony Chursky.

Sisneros was a standout youth and high school player, being named Washington state first-team as well as copping all-area, all-region and all-state honors.  As a youth player he won a state championship and competed in major regional and national tournaments with F.C. United (now Washington Premier FC). He played college soccer for the University of Puget Sound where he studied sociology.  His team there won two Northwest Conference titles in his three seasons as a player with his college career ending in 2005.  He played on a UPS squad which set the school record for wins in a season with 20 and achieved the program’s best regional (#1) and national (#4) rankings.  After leaving Puget Sound he began his coaching career while also playing for the Washington State U23 Olympic Development Team, PASL Indoor Soccer Tacoma Stars and South Sound FC.

On joining VUSC Coach Sisneros said, "I am excited and honored to be part of the VUSC family! VUSC is not only committed to developing great soccer players, but also great people, and that is something that I sincerely believe in. It's humbling to have the chance to be part of this program, and motivating to work with professionals like Kris Hall as well as our dedicated VUSC leadership. I look forward to offering my energy and experience to support the continued success of our players, coaches and the VUSC community."

Jason and his wife Lindsay have a daughter Kendall and a son Jonah. Aside from soccer, Coach Sisneros enjoys travel, music, art and disc golf.
